At Bethany we worship in two different styles every Sunday morning. At 8:30 a.m. is our Praise and Worship Service, and at 11:00 a.m. our Traditional Worship Service. We have children's church and a nursery available during both services. All are welcome in our worship services!
Praise and Worship Service - 8:30 a.m.
The 8:30 a.m. service features a contemporary style of worship. Music is led by our praise band, which includes vocalists and instrumentation such as guitar, keyboards, bass and drums. The prayers and other elements of the service are heartfelt and unscripted. The tone of the service ranges from upbeat and exciting to quiet and introspective. Folks are generally dressed casually and the atmosphere is very friendly and informal.
Traditional Worship Service - 11:00 a.m.
At the 11:00 a.m. service, we worship in a traditional style. This service features a more formal liturgy, the traditional hymns that many of us grew up singing and even the ringing of the church bell. Music is led by organ and piano and our choir sings at most services from fall through spring. Though some dress casually, many people come in their "Sunday best." The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming.
Worship is central to our life here at Bethany. Both Sunday services are creative and engaging ways for us to worship God. In addition to the typical prayers, music, Scripture reading and preaching, our services often include other powerful elements such as testimony, singing by our children's choir, puppets, skits and strong lay leadership. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Please join us for worship. We would love to have you!
